How close is the lodge to the lifts?
The Goryu gondola is 300 meters from the lodge, it is possible to ski-in at the end of the day.  Shuttle bus stop is right outside our front door, you’ve got easy access to all the resorts in the Hakuba valley!

How close is the lodge to bars and restaurants?
There are restaurants and bars within walking distance in Goryu Village or a short taxi ride away to all other restaurants in Hakuba.

When is the Winter season in Hakuba?
Goryu/Hakuba47 has the longest ski season, opening mid December (sometimes earlier depending on snow fall) and closing at the end of “Golden week” (the first week of May).  All resorts in the Hakuba Valley are open from December until the end of March.  April you can enjoy beautiful and quiet times on the mountain with your family and friends.

Do you have any discount lift tickets?
Yes.  We have discount lift tickets at ¥3800 per day,  we can also advise on the best deals for all other resorts in Hakuba.

How can I rent gear?
On your arrival we will take you to our 'local' rental store,  they will assist with all that you require, all stock is great quality and even larger size boots are no problem. Otherwise you can pre-reserve online at The Boarding Co., they will deliver to the lodge.  'Escal Plaza' is at the base of the resort, there are retail stores for the emergencies like goggles, gloves or beanies; at reasonable prices.

How can I arrange ski or snowboard lessons?
We can arrange lessons for you at the lodge. Lessons are in English and held at Iimori resort for beginners and intermediate, for advanced and free-style, both resorts Goryu and Hakuba47 are covered.  Or book online at http://hakubasnowsports.com/

Is there an Onsen in the lodge?
No. Although we do have an outdoor Japanese style (no jets) hot tub on the deck.  There are two onsens within walking distance.

How do I get money in Hakuba?
There are only a few ATM’s that accept international credit/bank cards; in the Goryu area at the 7-Eleven convenience store and the Post Office. Also the Post Office at Hakuba station.

Do you have Internet?
Yes. We have high-speed fiber optic internet. WiFi throughout the lodge is free of charge.

Do you have laundry?
Yes. Washing machine and dryer.

How do I pay?
Payments can be made in AUD or JPY.  A 20% deposit is required to secure your booking, this can be paid by credit card or bank transfer.

For credit card/bank payments we use Paypal (There is a 4.4% surcharge when paying by credit card.

Is there a cancellation charge?
Yes.  Your deposit will be withheld in the case of a cancellation. For cancellations with-in 30 Days there is a 100% charge unless we can re-fill the booking.

Once in Hakuba how do I get to the lodge?
As you know your arrival time in Hakuba, please let us know by email/phone or you can call us when you arrive. If you’re coming by train or bus the closest stops are Kamishiro Station,  Goryu Bus Stop.   We will be there to collect you.

Do you have parking?
Yes.

Can I rent a car in Japan?
Yes. You will require an international drivers license and be 25yrs.

Can the lodge be booked for groups?
Yes.  This spacious and beautifully furnished Mountain Lodge can be booked exclusively for your group, sleeps up to 13 guests in five bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms.

What is there to do if I am not skiing/snowboarding?
Enjoy a 'lunch set' at one of the many cafés and restaurants.  Relax at any of the slope side restaurants for a coffee and to be entertained by the Winter sports and trends.  Take a day trip to one of many attractions or a day of shopping in Nagano or Matsumoto cities. Snow shoeing is a great way explore the area.  Read a book on our comfy leather couch and treat yourself to a Japanese shiatsu massage.   Meet up at the top of the Gondola for lunch at 360 Restaurant and take in the views of the mountains and valley below to name a few.
